This adventure you will discover the unique culture of the andes indigenous communities while you walk throught amazing landscapes inside of the Toachi canyon and the Quilotoa cráter, ending with a challenging hike.

We drive to the Guingopana Pass from where we can have beautiful views of the surrounding volcanoes and the Toachi canyon. We hike down in around 3 hours to the village of Isinlivi. Here we have time to walk around in a picturesque small village. Lodging will be at Llullu Llama lodge. B/BL/D
Today we have the opportunity to live in the middle of the local people’s life and to traverse Andean landscapes of great beauty. It is a comfortable trek going up-and-down, walking and crossing hamlets and cultivated valleys along Tocahi River. We descend to the canyon again and from here we climb up about three kilometer until we reach Chugchilan town. This small town, with both mestizo and indigenous population is increasingly popular with tourist. Lodging will be at Mama Hilda. B/BL/D
We start our hike up to the Quilotoa loop. We first go down to the Toachi River and follow this up stream. We slowly climb up the canyon, crossing the Rio Sigui Canyon to arrive to Guayama town where there is a chance to have a little bit of siesta. We continue hiking up through Andean crops and local houses, after this exertion we will find our reward; we reach the loop of the lake. Once you are here here you have a chance to take pictures of this volcanic crater filled by a beautiful emerald lake. Lodging will at Alpaka hostel. B/L/D
Today we prepare ourselves for a five to six hours hike to Tigua valley. First we will walk by the crater edge with impressive views of the lagoon inside, until we descend to the canyon again. Passing through the fields of small private farms we will end our trek at the local hacienda at Tigua where lunch will be served. Finally we will be picked up by our transportation to go to the Avenue of the volcanoes. Lodging will be at Chuquiragua Lodge near the Ilinizas Ecological reserve. B/L/D
After breakfast we have a short drive to the Otavalo market where we can be able to appreciatte the Otavalo indigenous culture. At Plaza the Ponchos we will find amazing souveniers from andean culinary products to unique andean textils. Later on, we will find the food market where we will learn all about Ecuador fruits and vegetables, and some local food as Cuy. We will have lunch at a local restaurant where you will have the chance to try cuy. Later afternoon we will drive back to Inraki lodge. B/L/D
This day we will say good bye to the Avenue of the volcanoes and we will drive for 2 hours to Cayambe Coca Ecological reserve where Papallacta hotsprings are located. This day will be your reward after having an adventoruous holiday. We will have a short hike thorught the paramo trying to spot some spectacle bears and deers, this highlands offers amazing landscapes among many lagoons. In the afternoon we will enjoy the Papallacta hotsprings and if you like for an extra Price you can enjoy the SPA wich offers many relaxing treatments. Lodging will be at San Jose Garden near the airport. B/L/D
